Bianchi inaugurates a model factory with dormakaba turnstile access control and badge readers
In 2024, Bianchi SpA inaugurated a new 18,000 m2 facility in Treviglio, a model for Industry 5.0 and sustainability. Designed by Studio Domus, with Baraclit and Bondel in charge of technical and engineering works, the facility integrates innovative technology and a focus on the individual.
The plant has six areas with suspended equipment and real-time production data, and is self-sufficient from March to October, thanks to a 500 kW photovoltaic plant and a hydrothermal system. This plant-museum includes a historic showroom, ergonomic workstations and an inclusive team with a 50% female presence.

Bianchi chooses dormakaba access control for its innovative bicycle plant
In June 2024, Bianchi SpA inaugurated a new facility in Treviglio, a symbol of Italian excellence and a model for Industry 5.0, which merges sustainability, technology and a focus on the individual. Thanks to the collaboration between Studio Domus, Baraclit and Antonelli Impianti, the 18,000 m2 plant integrates modern architectural elements with suspended automotive-inspired equipment for maximum efficiency and reduced environmental impact. The facility is divided into five production areas, supported by a 500 kW photovoltaic plant and a hydrothermal system that guarantee energy self-sufficiency and thermal comfort.
Ergonomic workspaces with touchscreens and recognition systems optimize processes and assist performance evaluation by facilitating job rotation, improving the well being of employees, half of whom are women. A showroom celebrates Bianchi’s history, while architectural details such as the shed roof evoke classic industrial design.
