dormakaba started in Australia and New Zealand in 1972, when Kaba became a registered company. Our national offices are located in Hallam, Victoria, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand. We have regional offices in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Townsville, Rockhampton, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Newcastle, Darwin, Wellington (NZ) and Christchurch (NZ), plus an additional network of service agents and distributors. We also maintain the largest door service, maintenance and repair team in Australia and New Zealand.

Our story
Today's dormakaba is the result of the merger between two well-established brands – DORMA and Kaba, both known for their expertise in access solutions. DORMA, founded in 1908, offered holistic door solutions, attendance recording, access control, and emergency exit and escape route management. Kaba, founded in 1862, was a leading provider of high-quality access management solutions, keys, cylinders, physical access systems, enterprise data, and time recording. The two brands shared a passion for innovation, a commitment to delivering added value to their customers, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
dormakaba Group commenced operations on 1 September 2015 and has become one of the top companies worldwide in the access solutions market.
