SB2212 and SB2312 Series Mortice Locks

These premium performance short backset locks are built with a zinc die-cast chassis and stainless-steel face plate.

An adjustable locking bar provides a wide variety of lock functions (independent to each side of the door), ensuring the dormakaba SB2200 and SB2300 series narrow stile mortice locks will have the right function to meet your hardware specification requirements.

The ideal solution for new fitouts or retrofits, the dormakaba SB2200 and SB2300 Series range is complete with night latch, vestibule and combination lock function.

Technical Details

Construction:
Case and cover are constructed of zinc alloy and painted to a metallic silver finish. Faceplate and strike plate are constructed of high quality 304 grade stainless steel. Latchbolt and auxiliary latch are constructed of high grade sintered stainless steel. Springs are of high grade spring steel.

Backset:
23mm and 30mm backsets are available.

Handing and Functions:
The SB2200 and SB2300 series locks are non-handed to suit left hand or right hand inswing or outswing doors and functions are easily changeable on site.

For convenience handed functions can be ordered from factory and are supplied with turn adaptors and cams (Refer to functions). Cylinders and furniture sold separately.

Door Thickness:
32mm to 50mm as standard. Thicker door kits are available on application.

Door Preparation:
The SB2212 23mm backset lock suits hollow aluminium extrusion with a 37mm minimum internal depth.

The SB2312 30mm backset lock suits hollow aluminium extrusion with a 44mm minimum internal depth.

Latchbolt:
15mm latchbolt, including a separate auxiliary deadlatch with a 8mm projection.

Door Gap:
To facilitate latch retraction and maintain lock security the gap between the faceplate and the strike plate should not be less than 2.5mm or greater than 4.0mm.

Strikes:
Universal “T” shape strike plate with radius corners as standard. For convenience the SB2200 and SB2300 series is supplied with a fabricator strike box to suit steel/aluminium frames as standard.

Cylinder:
Standard dormakaba 130 type oval shaped cylinder (refer to cam options for functions). Cylinders are not supplied as standard.

Hold Back:
The SB2200 and SB2300 Series (locking) offers an optional latch hold back function via a dormakaba 130 cylinder with a hold back cam (CAM KH). Cylinder and cam ordered separately.

Furniture:
Suitable for use with the dormakaba narrow stile door furniture range.

Timber Doors:
Timber doors can be applied with the use of the SB260 Extended face plate.

Electric Strikes:
The dormakaba SB2200 and SB2300 Series is compatible with most common electric strikes.

Applications

For use on commercial and domestic narrow style timber and metal hinged doors, where self-latching is required. suitable for all applications including retail, office, shop front entry, municipal buildings, schools, hospitals and hotels.
